TRT & Men's Health Resource Center
Straightforward answers about low testosterone, testosterone replacement therapy, treatment timelines, fertility, body composition, blood testing and more — from the medical team at East Coast IV.
East Coast IV provides telehealth testosterone replacement therapy for medically appropriate men throughout Maryland. Our approach combines symptoms, medical history, mandatory laboratory testing and provider evaluation to determine whether TRT is appropriate. Our goal is safe testosterone optimization — not simply chasing a number on a laboratory report.
What Testosterone Level Is Considered Low?
Learn how testosterone levels are evaluated, why symptoms matter, and why a laboratory number alone doesn't determine whether TRT is appropriate.
"Low testosterone is evaluated using both clinical symptoms and appropriate laboratory testing. A testosterone result is an important diagnostic tool, but treatment decisions should consider the patient's symptoms, medical history, repeat testing when appropriate, and overall clinical presentation."

TRT is not a weight-loss medication, but appropriately treating testosterone deficiency may affect lean body mass, energy, exercise performance and body composition in some men. Nutrition, exercise, sleep and other lifestyle factors remain important.
